I do, I love to shop. If I'm shopping for you, that is. Shopping for myself is another matter. I hate it. Hate. It.
My stepbrother's wedding is coming up quickly and I had nothing to wear (that fits, that is). It's an evening wedding, somewhat formal, so I needed something sleek and pretty.
When Hubby reluctantly agreed to go to the mall with me today to pick out a dress, I promised him that it wouldn't take long. Besides, I told him, I'd rather have a root canal than go clothes shopping. He was quick to remind me that I've never had a root canal, but that's beside the point.
I hate shopping so much that when I find something I like, I buy it in every color that works with my wardrobe. And consider my job done. That's how much I hate shopping. The shopping gene is nowhere in my chromosomal makeup and somehow I'm still female. Go figure.
Anyway, we ended up at Nordstrom's, because we have a new one in our area and I'd never shopped there before. What a pleasant surprise! The customer service that they are known for was just as wonderful as I'd heard, and helped make an onerous task more pleasant.
No, that's not me, silly, that's a model. I wish I could wear a size 0 like the one in the pic, but the size that I bought is just a tad larger.
Now I can mark that task off my to-do list. Whew! Huge weight is lifted off my shoulders.
And tomorrow I can get back to the fun shopping. Shopping for you!
