A New Year, A New Look

Lots of changes have been happening in the shop lately. As of the end of January, we've converted from a multi-vendor "mall" to a single-vendor "shop". In other words, it's just me bringing in the goodies, folks. And do I have a LOT of goodies!

I promised to share pictures with you, and after a week of non-stop furniture-moving, box unpacking, redecorating, and general fluffing, I'm finally ready to give you a peek.

Here's the biggest change you'll see when you first come into the shop.

It's a lot simpler now, and definitely more prim. The farm table and chairs are "nearly" new and very affordable. The wedding chest, however, is about 150 years old and is a "must see". And for those who want a closer peek at the table, here ya go:

An antique bedroom suite sold recently and left an entire booth open, so I consolidated our pip berry florals into one area.

Here's where the garlands, candle rings, and picks ended up.

The tall sprays went on the other wall, along with vanities that were moved from a central walkway in the back of the shop.

In the place of the vanities that were moved above, Hubby and I dragged in a huge counter that had been in storage for the last couple of years. I've been busy filling the inside of it with vintage china and glassware; the top has been arranged with new prim place mats and napkins paired with vintage china.

Hubby and I cleared all of the furniture out of my former "shabby chic" booth and set up tables for displaying some of the many sets of vintage china that I'm pulling out of storage.

Some of that furniture went here, where I tried for a more contemporary office look in the corner and used the twin sleigh beds to help display prim dish towels. It's still a work in progress, though.

Gaining extra space has given me the chance to do major shuffling around. Displays are simpler, allowing you to see individual items rather than being overwhelmed with a mass of clutter. I'm still filling in bare spaces and tweaking, but things are finally falling into place.

Hopefully I'll have time soon to start adding some of the vintage dinnerware to our website. When I do, you'll be the first to know.

Don't forget...our Sweetheart Sale is continuing until the end of February. Save 20% on all items that aren't already on sale, both in the shop and in our online store.

Hugs,
