A Lazy Sunday

Yesterday I spent the entire day and evening hunched over the laptop working on my online store. I found a new webset with beautiful graphics from Fergygrrl Designs and finally got the graphics installed where I wanted them about 2:00 this morning, so today I'm taking it easy.

Yummm...it smells good in here! Hubby and I like to eat traditional Sunday dinners, so today I have in the oven Pioneer Woman's Perfect Pot Roast. I tried the recipe for the first time a couple of weeks ago but used a tough roast and wasn't thrilled with the results...my fault, not hers. The flavor was awesome but I didn't cook it extra long to compensate for the toughness and the beef was stringy as a result.

Today I used a beautiful chuck roast and am anxious to see how it turns out. I think I'll add a salad, pan-fried potatoes with rosemary, biscuits, and iced tea. Whoops, my Southern roots are showing!

We've demolished the banana bread that I made the other day so I need to come with with another dessert. We don't do dessert right after dinner; we like to wait a couple of hours and then have something sweet with hot tea. A batch of fresh cookies should do the trick!

Now I'm off to the pantry to dig out my cookie sheet...

Hugs,
