Extending the Life of Your Jar Candles

If you're like me, you're always looking for a way to pinch a penny here or there. I love my fragrant candles, especially the Beanpod 100% soy candles that we carry in our shop. Even though they last a long time, it always bothered me that I had to throw away that last 1/2 inch of fragrant wax once I was done burning a candle. But you don't have to!

The secret is to break up the remaining wax into chunks and melt them in your tart warmer. There's plenty of fragrance left, so why not use it? If your candle is soy, just use a spoon to break it up; if it's a paraffin candle, a butter knife will do the trick.

Don't have a tart warmer? We have a selection of punched tin electric tart warmers in our online store as well as in our Indian Trail shop. So easy: just drop the wax tart (or chunk of candle) into the little tray hidden in the top of the lamp, turn on the handy switch located on the cord, and within a very short time you'll start to enjoy fabulous fragrance...and you saved money while doing it!
