Soliloquy's 2008 Mother's Day Photo Contest

My good friend Crissy, a fellow blogger, is having a 2008 Mother's Day Photo Contest. Okay, so Crissy's not really my good friend, I don't even know her, but I do love her blog. We have at least two loves in common: books and photography. And she's certainly special enough to be my very good friend, because she selected my entry to be a finalist in her fab contest! *insert happy dance here!*

Rather than personally or randomly selecting a winner, Crissy and her mother picked out their five favorite entries and Crissy posted them on her blog for everyone to vote for. Voting ends Saturday and the winner will be announced on Mother's Day Sunday.

Which entry is mine, you ask? Go to See the last entry, the one from "Pam" with the cute little punkin' sitting on Grandma's lap? That's me and my Grandma Brown, my mother's mother. Grandma was absolutely the sweetest, kindest human being I ever met in my life, and I miss her terribly. She passed away several years ago, and it was about her that my poem "Delia" was written. (Remember Poetry Month? Of course you skipped over those posts because you hate poetry.)

Am I excited? You betcha. I haven't been a finalist in anything in like...forever. And I couldn't wait to tell you first!

  1. I'm so excited for you Pam!! I vote for your wonderful picture!

  2. Thanks for voting, Cheryl! It's all because of you that I found Crissy's fabulous blog in the first place! You're the best!

Your comments always make me smile. Thanks for taking the time to leave me a sweet note!
